The purpose of the Complex Claims Analyst (Cyber, Media and Tech E&O) is to:
Proactively investigate, evaluate, and negotiate high exposure Cyber, Media and Tech E&O claims involving complex issues and/or litigation
Ensure claims are handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims Standards, procedures and guidelines
Drive third party service providers to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers
Training and development of team and technical referral point for other Claims Handlers
Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and insureds
High visibility position
Position can be located in either Chicago or New York City
Preferably a degree in Law, or other appropriate discipline
Completion of professional insurance designation
Specialized understanding of Cyber products and Tech E&O products
Recognized relationship building with brokers at peer group level
Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework
Experience in working in complex, global matrix organization
Understanding in relevant products, wordings, terms, conditions and coverage
Knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery
Knowledge of reserving principles and practices; robust understanding of other insurance and risk transfer application
Understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, litigation avoidance techniques (e.g. mediation). Seasoned litigation manager, effective in timely setting and reviewing strategy to obtain optimal timely resolutions
Clear and effective in written and verbal communications. Role will include presenting at industry functions and writing articles for internal and external communications. Role will also include working with internal business partners.
Ability to negotiate best position for AGCS, and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties
Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study or examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions.
