WealthCare Partners is seeking to find a Paraplanner to help support our growing independent wealth management firm. The paraplanner’s role is to be the junior member of our financial planning team, working under the direction of our two senior financial planners.
This position will perform several of the necessary tasks in developing a financial plan for our clients. This includes, but is not limited to: gathering financial reports and records from the client, reviewing the client's financial records, and creating and modeling different possible financial scenarios. Besides generating the financial planning reports for a client, a paraplanner also assists our senior financial planners in preparing the presentation of the information to the client.
Additionally, the paraplanner will work in collaboration with other team members on key areas including, but not limited to, investment/account management, client onboarding, client communication and client service. The paraplanner should have a positive attitude and be a team player. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a fast paced, technology focused, and professional environment. The Paraplanner role is designed for someone with a passion for helping clients and who exhibits strong communication skills. This position also provides the opportunity to transition into an associate advisor role in the future, if desired.
Support our two senior financial advisors in serving clients by preparing for meetings, investment research, making preliminary financial planning recommendations, preparing financial plans
Research financial databases and products that match clients' needs.
Construct financial plans, prepare analysis, agendas and illustrations for clients and prospective clients.
Participate in client meetings, take notes and enter note details in our CRM system.
Putting together plans and placing trades on accounts.
Helping with investment analysis and research.
Attend client events.
General help preparing for client meetings.
Act as additional point of contact with clients. Be counted on to establish and build strong relationships with clients.
Become an expert on the technology tools utilized with clients
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
2-3 years of experience in the Financial Planning Industry is considered a plus.
Series 7, 66 tests passed would be ideal, but not required at hire. *Would need to gain within first year of employment.
Experience with tax planning/projections would be ideal, but not required.
Good range of financial services knowledge and ability to expand that range.
eMoney Advisor, Redtail CRM and/or Hidden Levers experience considered a plus.
Ability to be flexible, adaptable and move with changes in client situations and financial markets.
Strong attention to detail.
Team player and excellent communication skills
Critical thinking, time management, proactive problem solving, individual motivation and attention to detail skills are needed
Additional Salary Information: This position would offer a base salary with potential for annual bonuses as well as potential for income from commissions/fees, if bringing in new client assets.
