The Independent Testing Manager will provide strategic support for testers by gathering requirements and delivering data needs and detailed analysis for their organization. This position will report to a Director.

In this role, you will:
  • Deliver valuable solutions that focus on efficiency and process improvement
  • Provide meaningful risk assessments of technology and information security control environments
  • Lead and support efforts to credibly challenge technology risks and effectively evaluate and/or test controls to mitigate those risks
  • Proactively engage business partners to kick-off testing and lead ongoing meetings with moderate supervision
  • Document test results and any issues identified while also providing and communicating recommendations to management, compensating controls and residual risks
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities pertaining to metrics and reporting
  • Review and interpret new and revised corporate and IT&V policies and procedures and assess impacts
  • Manage a team of IT&V testers including leading testing engagements, issue validations and performing performance management for team members
  • Develop clear and concise reporting to be shared with IT&V management and Front-Line Units
  • Provide Credible Challenge to business and senior leader Stakeholders as needed
  • Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders in the applicable line of business and IT&V functions
  • Ensure metrics offer insight into realized and emerging risks
  • Monitor metrics and associated data to identify and escalate potential issues and providing recommendations for resolution to ensure optimal performance
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 4+ years of experience in Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior public accounting firm experience
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Designation
  • Experience supporting SOX/SOC, Regulatory Exams (Domestic and Int'l), Audits, or other technology control related assessments
  • Ability to summarize and recommend new strategies/solutions.
  • Strong ability to research, trend, and analyze data
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, with various levels of management, including senior leaders and executives
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and deliver results quickly
  • Critical Thinking and Analytical skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory agencies: Federal Reserve and OCC
  • Knowledge and understanding of Technology and Information Security Frameworks and standards (COBIT, COSO, FFIEC, NIST, ISO)
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: compliance, risk management, or audit operations
  • Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; and identifying issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinations
  • Experience testing policy and procedures/control testing
  • Experience creating, executing, and documenting compliance testing
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
