We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to join our insurance tax practice in our Raleigh, North Carolina office. The primary responsibility of a senior associate in our tax practice is taking a leadership role throughout the course of an engagement, coordinating with the client to establish timelines for the completion of work and directing staff to ensure deadlines are met. As the work is prepared, the senior will provide the initial level of review to ensure that the work adheres to the high quality standards we promote. In support of our audit practice, the senior may also be tasked with preparation of the income tax footnote that accompanies the financial statements. This position allows for a high level of ownership over engagements while at the same time providing a wealth of experience and support as the senior collaborates with managers and partners to oversee all aspects of the client engagement. This collaborative process enables senior associates to gain a high degree of specialized knowledge in our niche industry and develop interpersonal skills while at the same time learning how to manage resources.

The ideal candidate for our Senior Tax Associate position should have an active CPA license and a minimum 2 years of public accounting experience with a primary focus on preparation and planning of corporate federal and state tax engagements. The right candidate will be self-motivated, with strong verbal and written communication skills that can manage both client engagements and staff. The candidate should have proficient accounting, analytical, and research skills along with a desire to continue to grow professionally.
