AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC (AMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association (AAFMAA), offers residential mortgages to members of the American Armed Forces and their families. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Senior Compliance Analyst.
Scope & Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit all relevant state and county tax filings.
Ensure full compliance with the Veterans Administration, Federal, and State governments, including preparation and submission of required filings.
Ensure appropriate practices are in place to collect Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HDMA) data; review the data and the quarterly and annual submission of the data to regulatory agencies.
Complete Government Sponsored Entity (GSE) reporting requirements and maintain documentation and support.
Design, develop and implement mortgage compliance procedures, policies and programs.
Monitor and stay informed of current and upcoming compliance regulations; advise the COO of any regulatory changes.
Assist in Development of Quality Control/Quality Assurance plan and monitoring/testing of such plan.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
Auditing background or Certified Internal Auditor, a plus
Experience in the mortgage industry and Loan Origination Systems, a plus
Keen ability to resolve complicated issues in a timely manner
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced experience in MS Excel
Military experience, highly preferred
